plot
Azumanga Daioh is about high school life through the eyes of six girls with unusual personalities: Chiyo (the 10-year-old genius), Osaka (the resident airhead), Sakaki (the shy one prone to cat bites), Tomo (the loose cannon), Yomi (the short-tempered one) and Kagura (the resident jock).

Hmm....saw the first 10 min again and I think I'll watch it anyway. Might be fun after all.

In subs, that is. dubs never have the kawaii voices, which is a must in this kind of genre :<

Dubs always sound like they just picked up some random people from the street. And Americans pronouncing Japanese names is just horrible.

Nono i don't hate english, i hate english dubs. -_- i'm sorry they just don't get me the feeling to watch it... i don't like the voice each person has, it's totally different from what i think would be the one for him/her... and in japanese they make the voice sound like that (my opinion)
Altho there's some good dubs i got to admit it, but i don't think this is one.

Altho there's some good dubs i got to admit it, but i don't think this is one.

well dubbers try their best to make the voices match the characters, some voice actors try really hard like Vic Mignogna (voice for ed elric) who's voices are always different for every character he voices. but there are voice actors like johnny yong bosch (Ichigo, Lelouch and Kaneda) who just use the same voice over and over again.

Dubs are ok in calm mode, but when it gets intense they're starting to lack.
Like with the last episode of Death Note I saw yesterday, I was very impressed how the voice actor of Light has this insane/confused/OMGWTF tone in his voice.

It's something dubs can never improve, or even come near at.
