ef - a tale of memories

Story

ef - a tale of memories contains two stories. One which revolves around the main character Hiro Hirono and another which revolves around Aso Renji.

Hiro is a 3rd year high school student which is a professional shojou-manga artist. One Christmas, after leaving the church, his bike was stolen by a mysterious girl(Miyamura Miyako) who had her purse snatched. He eventually went after the girl only to find her collapsed beside the street. Once conscious, she continued chasing the robber while Hiro went after her. Soon after that, she got tired and stopped. They eventually started to get to know each other and developed feelings for one another. However, Hiro', childhood friend(Kei Shindo) has a very strict personality, although younger than Hiro by a year, she is very particular about Hiro's future. When Kei realised that she also has feelings for Hiro,the love triangle between Hiro Hirono, Miyamura Miyako and Kei Shindo begun.

Renji Aso is an ordinary 1st year high school student. One day when taking a stroll around his favorite spot(which is a quiet out of service train station) he met with a cute girl with an eye patch(Chihiro Shindo). He starts to get to know her and became quite close to her. He was soon told that her memory could only last for a total of thirteen hours and she recorded her everyday life into her diary.Chihiro's dream is to write a novel but due to her weak memory, she can never write one. Renji then decides to write a novel together with her and their relationship starts to grow.

Season 2; A tale of melodies; coming soon

This is a really good anime, the story is quite original and it really drags you with it. It may seem weird in the first episode since you get dragged from one storyline to the other and you can get a bit lost. But starting the second episode, everything becomes really clear and the wonderful story enfolds.

Definitely one of the better animes to air this fall.

Please keep in mind when I say "Airs 22nd of december" I mean it gets aired in Japan on that day, meaning it's a RAW without any subtitles. I haven't found a raw on streaming sites and Conclave/Mendoi haven't finished/released the sub yet.

A bit more patience please.

sorry bout that, i just wanted to finish it as soon as possible, its a really good anime, very similar to Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien in many ways. Sincere thank you for posting it and keeping it updated.

And it's finished!!

This was a truly very satisfying, tear jerking end. I'm not really in the mood to write an article about it Razz

so you won't get to know more then the fact that I absolutely loved it. It's miles ahead of the Myself;Yourself finale.

Huge disappointment, it was such a perfect ending on episode 11, if you are watching this and want a perfect ending, whatever you do, how ever much you want to, do not watch episode 12. In my opinion it was an unforgivable mistake by the author.

It`s done. Episode 12 is the last one. I found it to be quite a nice ending, a bit pulled by the hair on certain occasions but very nice nonetheless and one of the best autumn animes that aired.

Then again, this is 100% my kind of anime so I'm a bit biased.

an excellent anime nontheless..

it gives you a unique feeling.. Smile

i 'd recomend it to any1 but not as a 1st time anime..

Not as far as I know, it is however yet another anime based on a visual novel. There's 2 visual novels of it actually. Ef - the first tale and Ef - the second tale

Both tales are told in the anime though.

that is the saddest ending ive ever had the privalege to watch a real tear jerker im jw tho how so many of these romantic animes end sad Crying or Very sad

I was not able to make it pass episode two I tried but I really just can't seem to get a feeling for this anime. It bonced around a little to much for my like. However I'm not saying it's a bad anime just not my personal style.
