When I watched episode 9, it took me a few hours to dry my eyes. _________________

didn't completely match the series? That's a bit of an understatement.... I was only able to see the first ten minutes of it before I was kicked off the computer and haven't had a chance to watch it again, but from what I saw,
his dad works odd hours instead of being a bum, he met Nagisa differently and at a different time, and her first lunch after meeting him was an-pan instead of sweet bean bread.
And that's just from the first 10 minutes! _________________

Yeah, but the base plot is still the same
like trying to create the club, and creating the play
but as you said there still are differences _________________

i was dissapointed
though good 23 was an "extra" episode
24 was good, but it wasn't an after story
it was an alternate world it too was an extra
though it was good, it might have made me shed a tear had i REALLY
watched it, but i found my self skipping parts
hoping for some shred more on the original story line
it was a good series, it was a good ending too
but i wished for a little more elaboration on the ending
and the junk story
not sure i will watch the movie
at the very end of the credits of the last episode the subbers said see you at the after story i didn't fully understand that
You should mark where the actual ending is so people don't get their hopes up
i was hoping to see sunohara get hooked up :/, seemed like he and the new student council president, or the other girl from the chorus club might have had something going on
i also wanted to hear something more of fuko-chan she wasn't in the last few episodes i don't think lol it was hilarious every time they brought her back

Wow, calm down Let me explain things to you.
Clannad is originally based on a Visual Novel. In this visual novel there are certain paths for certain girls you can go on. Some of these get parts in the anime (Fuuko, Nagisa, Kotomi, Tomoyo, etc...) but the ending is really the ending of Nagisa's arc in the main story.
What you got to see in episode 24 is the ending of the Tomoyo arc, hence it has nothing to do with Nagisa's arc (what you call the main story).
About the thing the subbers said (See you in afterstory).
The Clannad Visual Novel is split up in two parts, you have the Main Story (with arcs for Fuuko, Nagisa, Fujibayashi siblings, Yukine, Sunohara Siblings, Kotomi, Tomoyo, and a few others). When you've played through all of these endings succesfully, you unlock the second part that's called Afterstory which is basically a continuation of Nagisa's arc.
And right now there's an anime in the works that will animate the Afterstory part of Clannad, that's why they said that.
I hope I cleared up some stuff for you. _________________ The post above is entirely my opinion. Feel free to be offended by it. |

So there won't be any more progress in the Afterstory? Just some background info? _________________

Nonono, Afterstory really is a new arc, a continuation of Nagisa's arc. You will see lots of new story, don't worry about that.
I suggest anyone who's interested in the anime and likes to read (this is kind of imperative) to go and try the Visual Novel, it blows the anime away storywise. Contact me for info ^_^ _________________ The post above is entirely my opinion. Feel free to be offended by it. |

Sorry then I thought you sounde like that
Anyway, you seem to have a wrong view about Visual Novels. It's not some sort of manga. It's more a video game. You have colored CGs for certain parts, and you have interaction with the characters, you pick choices to go towards certain endings, there's voice actors, and bgm too.
Enter a Clannad Visual Novel Screenshot
This is an example of one of many CGs.
While this is standard character interaction.
Note that the bad lining of text is due to the fact that this is a hacked, unreleased patch. The group that's fantranslating this isn't finished editing yet. But all text is translated (with some grammar errors) so it's fully playable. _________________ The post above is entirely my opinion. Feel free to be offended by it. |

This anime was epic. I really enjoyed it a lot and it really brought me back in to watching anime again, especially made me want to go out and find more cool series to watch that are similar.
Tear jerker at times.
I love the way that it ended I feel that it suited the anime perfectly and for them to kiss more sexually you can say =p would have ruined the feel of it (I say this because I remember seeing a comment when I watched the ending on Youtube that said something like wheres the tongue or something like that I don't know they wanted more passion in it but I think that the way it ended was perfect).

Great series.
1st fourteen episodes=awesome, the rest is good, but not even close to the 1st 14. IMHO.
<3 the ending theme too.

is it just me, or does it look like his left eye is horrible misplaced, like it's...slipping off his head.
i wish i felt emotion. i felt this one was sad, i knew when/where it was sad, but it never "hit" me. i'm like that with everything. pisses me off. but not getting sad/having no emotion can have its ups. _________________
