There are also two other seasons of Spartacus, Gods of the Arena and Blood and Sand. Gods of the Arena is the prequel of Blood and Sand, although it aired later. This was to give the lead character Andy Whitfield (Spartacus) to recover from cancer. Sadly he died because of it Now he is replaced by Liam McIntyre, the trailers of Vengeance look great but Andy surely will be missed. He was so talented. _________________

I was going to watch this but then I heard the actor who played it died so I ended up not

Yes it's the same show, but Andy was already replaced before he passed away. In the trailers his replacement looks good, I can't wait till the series start.

Yes it was a good first episode In my opinion Liam did a good job as replacement for Andy, although nobody can replace Andy. He was such talented, but I think I'll get used to Liam. I can't wait till characters like Ashur and Gannicus return! It will also be interesting to see Oenomaus in the pits next episode!
It was released a week early on the official Spartacus website of Starz, it's still online for those interested. But it's only available for the USA. Gotta love Hotspot Shield!

The last episode (3) was really good, the season is becoming better and better. It was nice to see Ashur much in this episode and once again he played his part with the capture of Crixus. Will be interesting to see how Spartacus and the survivors will escape out of the woods wirh the pursuing Romans. Too bad Oenomaus and Crixus are captured, hopefully there will be an epic rescue mission.
I've also seen episode 4, it was leaked early. It was a bit dissapointing in my opinion, especially after episode 3 which was one of the best Spartacus episodes yet. _________________
