Some of you have been lasy. I have been out of town so I had no oppurtunity to post but they announced like a week ago that the game is coming out February 10th.
Stargate resistance will be released as Digital Downlaod ONLY. Pre-order is only available through Direct2Drive. But the game will be released (release date is 10 FEB 2010) on the following sites:
Steam, Direct2Drive, Firesky
I am getting it. Anyone else? Current price it shows on d2d is $19.95 |

Even if you will be uploading a rip, I urge people to buy. They only made this game in hopes that this will make them some profit, and if this becomes profitable, it only gives them more incentive to make more stargate games |

I did mention this in the no suicide thread...
Price should be around $20 I think.
AFAIK, if resistance does not sell well SG:W is cancelled.
There was an open beta and people reckoned it wasn't great at first but then they really got into it and apparently it is casual gamer friendly so you don't ahve to be some hardcore fps player to enjoy it.
(It's a third person shooter) |

is it only multiplayer?
cuz, so far, the ONLY shooter i've REALLY enjoyed online, is warhawk. . .and thats cuz of the sheer madness of battle

you can play it against bots... but it's not that great...
i played... but i turned back to cs 1.6... cuz you need steam to play source....

You mean CS:S?
No, you can play against bots too, but it's nowhere near as fun.
Oh and you can download a ripped version here, and there are a few non-steam servers too here, here, and here.
[EDIT] My brother likes 1.6 better, but that's probably because he played it first. Source has better graphics than 1.6 so...

yeah but you can play it without steam....  ...
and source have a problem at aiming... it has some kind of latency or something....

ya, SGR, i've played CSS, i know u can play with bots, but, humans ftw. . .cuz, well, u can laugh at their face about that headshot
